We can only allow access to OEM driver apps that provide administrator functionality, enabling us to manage drivers access to the car/app.
A key security reason is that without admin oversight, a driver who has returned a car could remain on the app and interact with the car, including features like remote unlock and location tracking.
Tesla is currently the only OEM that has admin functionality. This means we can add a driver who subscribes to a Tesla vehicle to its app but, unfortunately, we're unable to do so for drivers of any other vehicle brand.
As we are seeing more EVs get used in businesses and as rentals, we are hoping other manufacturers will offer this soon.

If you are buying, selling or renting a car with an OEM app, make sure that you remove all of your connected devices and ensure the previous owner has as well.
