Electrify Now - Important Information

1.  Estimated yearly bill savings: Our estimate of your yearly energy bill savings after installation of your solar system (and/or battery, if applicable) is based on our assumptions in relation to (a) your yearly energy consumption, (b) the price you will pay for grid electricity and (c) the amount of solar energy that will be generated by your solar system, factoring in expected consumption on site and export to the grid. Our estimate does not take into account the price of purchasing and installing the solar system (and/or battery, if applicable).

2. Estimated reduction in yearly grid energy consumption: Our estimate of your reduction in yearly grid energy consumption after installation of your solar system (and/or battery, if applicable) is based on our assumptions in relation to (a) your energy consumption and (b) the amount of solar energy that will be generated by your solar system, factoring in expected consumption on site and export to the grid. No assessment has been made on your physical roof to accommodate the solar system which would be done if you request a detailed quote.

3. Estimated yearly CO2e emissions reduction: Our estimate of your reduction in yearly Scope 2 CO2e emissions after installation of your solar system (and/or battery, if applicable) is based on our assumption in relation to the solar energy that will be generated by the solar system taking into account expected consumption , using the relevant Australian National Greenhouse Account Factor for Scope 2 emissions.

4. Our assumption regarding your yearly energy consumption: We have made an assumption in relation to your expected energy consumption based on our review of your current electricity meter data. Your future energy consumption may be different than what we have assumed, and may change over time, so your actual reduction in bill savings, grid electricity consumption and Scope 2 CO2e emissions may be different to the estimate given.

5. Our assumption regarding electricity pricing: We have made an assumption in relation to the price you will pay for grid electricity based on our review of your current energy plan. We have also factored into our estimates the value of any feed-in tariff which you may receive for energy exported to the grid under your current energy plan. The tariffs in your energy plan may change over time, so your actual reduction in bill savings may be different to the estimate given.

6. Our assumption regarding solar generation: Our assumption in relation to the amount of solar energy that will be generated by the solar system is derived from modelling that predicts solar system output based on various factors including system size, orientation, panel tilt, and the expected solar irradiance based on long-term Bureau of Meteorology data for your location. Solar irradiance will vary daily and seasonally based on weather conditions, and your system output will change correspondingly. System output can also be impacted by shading or dust build up over time. Our system generation estimate assumes no losses due to shading. Performance of any solar system will naturally degrade over time, which is not accounted for in this estimate. It is important to note that AGL cannot predict how sunny it will be, so the actual performance of your solar system will vary from the modelled generation. This means your actual reduction in bill savings, grid electricity consumption and Scope 2 CO2e emissions may be different to the estimate given.

7. AGL does not currently install solar systems for residential customers, other than as part of a Solar Battery Bundle. If you are interested in purchasing a solar system without a solar battery, we can refer you to one of our third party solar providers who can arrange installation of the solar system. AGL may earn a commission for this referral.

8. If you decide to proceed with a solar system and/or battery purchase, your installer may provide you with estimates that differ from the information set out in this email based on the installer’s own solar modelling, assumptions and detailed designs for the system.
