Definitely. The Kia Niro Electric is capable of travelling up to 455km on a single charge possesses fast-charging capabilities. The quiet motors can provide up to 150kW of power and 395Nm of torque, ensuring you have all the power and range to get you where you need to go.
Charging time of a Kia Niro Electric depends on the type of charger you use. If using a standard 220v home or office 3 pin power point it will likely take approx. 25-30 hours to charge your battery from empty to full capacity. Should you have a 7kW charger installed (which is the most common for a single phase property), this charging time drops to approx. 9-11 hours.
The fastest way to charge your Kia Niro Electric is to use a commercial public DC charger. These can charge the Kia Niro Electric from empty to 80% in approx. an hour.
The Kia Niro Electric has an indicative range of 455km on a single charge. However, just like a petrol or diesel vehicle, this can vary depending on a number of factors; such as how you drive (acceleration and deceleration), the weather (colder weather can drain a battery a slightly quicker) and whether or not you have air conditioning on.
The cost to charge your Kia
Niro Electric will depend on a number of factors, for example, where you charge (at home or at a charging station), for how long and what time of day. Charging from home is the cheapest option as you'll just be paying what you pay for electricity at your property.
The Kia e-Niro Electric has a 64kWh battery, so to work out what it would cost to charge up to full capacity, simply multiply the kWh rate for electricity by 64.
Here's an example: $0.28c/kWh of electricity x 64 (the kWh battery capacity of the Kia e-Niro Electric) = $17.92
Be sure to check if you are on a time of use energy cost as it might be even cheaper to charge your Kia e-Niro Electric during off peak times.
