If you have rooftop solar panels, you can use the electricity they generate to charge your electric vehicle.
To access the solar power generated, you'll need to install a solar aware charger.
The amount of solar power that charges your car will depend on how much electricity your solar system generates (and whether you're running other appliances at the same time).
If there isn't enough power in your solar system to charge the car, the charger will simply draw power from the grid, so you'll always be ready to hit the road.
How to get a solar charger:
- When you become an AGL EV subscriber, you can choose to include a charger for an additional $10 per week, with standard installation included free.
- Or you can purchase a home charger outright from AGL.
