I have just noticed damage on my EV, what do I do?

Have you just noticed a bump or scratch on your EV? Were there no third parties involved? You have two options to repair your electric vehicle:

  1. Pay an insurance excess of $2000: If the damage is likely more than $2,000, you can lodge your insurance claim and pay the $2,000 excess per incident.
Lodge your insurance claim: Scan the QR code in your car and follow the prompts to lodge an insurance claim.  arrange the repair of your vehicle from the insurers recommended repairers. We can arrange a vehicle replacement for you in the case of a not at fault claim while your vehicle is being repaired. We are a little low on EV stock at the moment, so can’t guarantee it will be the same vehicle, but you will have something to use. Please also send timestamped photo to hello@agl.ev.com.au for our records

  2. Repair the vehicle at your own expense: If you think the damage will be less than $2000, you can obtain a quote directly from an authorised repairer.
    1. If you have a Tesla: You can find a list of authorised electric vehicle repairers in your local area via the Tesla website. Click here to see this list.
    2. For all other cars you are able to repair the car at your own expense at your local reputable panel beater. If you are unsure about where to go, please contact us at hello@ev.agl.com.au.
What ever you decide to do, we're just around the corner to help. Please contact us with any questions and we can work this out together.
